Pirch Glendale Wins Another Outstanding Award

Our project, Pirch Glendale has been selected as the A.R.E. Design Awards 2014 Grand Prize winner in the category of Hardline Specialty Store (7,501-25,000 square feet). The project was described as “smart, modern and fresh, from the refined elegance of ceiling elements and linear trough lighting  to a white porcelain main floor… ” While we designed the lighting, the overall design was by FITCH, and this is the second top prize for Pirch, which won First Place in a similar category in the Retail Store of the Year competition.

The lighting design for this store uses metal halide adjustables located in linear ceiling elements, fluorescent wall washers, and LED accents, and a total of 2 architectural lighting lamps to keep maintenance at the minimum.  Coordination with the design team resulted in a layout that not only highlighted the home fittings, fixtures and appliances on display, but arranged in a way to provide maximum impact in a clean gyp ceiling.

In addition to its Hardline Specialty Store Grand Prize, Pirch Glendale also won the following from the A.R.E. Design competition: In-store Communication Award, Store Fixtures Award, and Visual Presentation Award.
