Celebrating Three Wins at the 2025 IES Lumen West Awards
We’re incredibly proud to announce that three Oculus projects have been honored with a 2025 IES Lumen West Award. We love what we do, but it’s always an honor when others love it, too! This recognition shows the power of thoughtful lighting design, and we’re thrilled to see these projects celebrated for their unique blend of community impact, innovation, and collaboration.
Here’s a look at the award-winning work:
Paramount Library – Award of Excellence
This renovation revitalized a beloved 1966 community hub. Visitors are now welcomed by a living green wall, while custom tunable white “skylights” mimic the natural rhythm of daylight in the central reading area, bringing a sense of the outdoors into a beautiful, flexible space.
HPS Office – Award of Merit
With sustainability as its guiding principle, this office space feels warm, professional, and inspired by hospitality design. We focused on using locally manufactured lighting to create an atmosphere that reflects both environmental responsibility and a commitment to excellence.
Marian Gardens at Our Lady of La Vang – Award of Merit
Honoring a significant moment in Vietnamese Catholic history, this garden is designed as a physical Rosary. Our lighting approach was subtle and purposeful, carefully crafted to support prayer, guide worshippers through the space, and gently highlight the sacred art and architecture.
None of this would be possible without our incredible partners. A huge thank you to the talented design collaborators, reps, and manufacturers who helped bring these visions to light!
