Paramount Library, Paramount, CA

The renovation of the 8,750sf Paramount Library provides modernization to a crucial community center that has been largely untouched since it was constructed in 1966. Lighting helps create spaces within an open-concept library. A brightly illuminated living greenwall greets visitors in the front lobby, while tunable white “skylights” create the sense of daylight over the central reading area — maintaining a connection with the outdoors inside. Oversized acoustic pendants in a story telling area diffuse noise and create a canopy for a more intimate space.
