Georgia Aquarium Expansion, Atlanta, GA
As the largest aquarium in the United States (and still expanding!), the Georgia Aquarium has just added “SHARKS! Predators of the Deep”, a 1.2M gallon shark tank where thematic lighting enhances the dramatic and thrilling experience of catching glimpses of sharks through a deep ocean slot canyon. Upgraded guest experiences include a Shark & Ray Interaction in a bright, shallow immersion pool, and a Shark Cage Dive to get up close and personal with the multiple shark species in the main tank. In addition to this new exhibit and gallery, Oculus also provided the lighting design for the aquarium’s new ticketing area and main entry, which features a 48’ long color-changing moon jelly tank.
