500 Broadway Under Construction

500 Broadway is under construction! This large mixed-used development in Downtown Santa Monica is also being called “The Park”, as it will provide communal courtyards, and green outdoor spaces on the top levels of 4 different towers connected via pedestrian bridges. The project also intends to help reduce neighborhood vehicular traffic by providing employees and residents with transportation allowances that would cover the costs of transit passes and bike parking.

Oculus has been working hand-in-hand on this project with KoningEizenberg Architecture since 2015 to design the lighting for all the interior spaces including residential units, lobbies, and amenity spaces, as well as exterior spaces including the ground floor courtyards, “park” roof decks, and pool areas. Situated only two blocks from the Expo train line, this retail and apartment complex is set to be a local destination for visitors and residents alike. It is slated to open in 2021, and we are excited to see all the hard work come to life!
