Panda Inn, Pasadena, CA

Revitalizing the brand’s flagship, this lighting design balances family legacy with a modern community vision by integrating traditional East Asian inspiration into contemporary architecture. The scheme features cove and accent lighting embedded within a “folding-fan” V-shaped ceiling, grazing light that highlights a historic stained-glass mural, and an open kitchen soffit that glows like a lantern. High-efficiency LEDs are used throughout to achieve a warm, traditional atmosphere with remarkably low energy consumption.
