Mayumi, Culver City, CA
Nestled between a quiet neighborhood and a busy commercial zone in Culver City, the lighting design creates a nighttime presence, while respecting the residential neighbors. Lighting subtly integrates into the façade, creating a surprise appearance in the evening. In the courtyard, layers of light illuminating the façade elements and lanterns create a glowing environment. The guestrooms have a color tunable cove, allowing the guests to manipulate their immediate surrounding.
