Oculus' Newest Associate IALD Members
Oculus is proud to announce that two of our employees, Sarah Wang (Associate) and Sebastien Payannet (Sr. Designer), have both been accepted as Associates of the International Association of Lighting Designers.
Sarah has been with the Oculus team for over 7 years; planning, developing, and coordinating integrated interior and exterior architectural lighting design solutions for a variety of hospitality, corporate, and retail projects. Projects of note include the Blue Ribbon Sushi at The Grove in Los Angeles, Amazon’s Block 18 in Seattle, the large scale RGB facade of AMC at Montclair Plaza, and the recently completed Culver Studios Campus and Warner Media offices in Los Angeles. Sarah’s creative yet energy-efficient design contributions have led to several award-winning projects, and make her an invaluable member of the Oculus Team. Sarah, a professional membership is just a portfolio away!
Sebastien recently joined the Oculus team with previous experience as a lead designer and project manager on a wide variety of projects including high-end hospitality, mixed-use developments, corporate offices, and retail stores. Significant projects include: the Post Oak Hotel in Houston, the Mama Rabbit Mezcal Bar and On The Record Night Club in Park MGM in Las Vegas, Spago Restaurant at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, and most recently, the Esperanza Restaurant in Los Angeles. Sebastien has become an important member to the Oculus team due to his creative passion, aesthetic understanding, and technical skills.
Most Oculus lighting designers are members of the IALD, and our values align with what the Organization promotes. Congratulations again Sarah & Sebastien and we look forward to seeing what comes next!
